Pre-School

St. Pius X Parish Preschool is an extension of our Elementary school program. It is specifically designed to prepare our preschool students for an easy transition into our Kindergarten program. A well-rounded curriculum is introduced in a developmentally age appropriate way with emphasis on “hands on” experiences. These experiences are the keys to future understanding and learning. Our parents are an integral factor in the preschool program. Together, dedicated parents and staff guide the children as they gradually become aware of social etiquette and Christian ethics. Within a loving, student-centered environment, our children discover their unique self and the wonderful world God has given them.

St. Pius X Parish Preschool Curriculum

The preschool curriculum is based on a series of developmentally age appropriate activities, which promote growth in the areas of spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and creative development. Our curriculum supports the philosophy of “hands-on learning.” Listening, speaking, group and individual play, are an integral part of the program.

Although the children do not attend the school mass, Religion is formally addressed once a week through an age appropriate series which emphasizes the discovery and appreciation of God’s world and the gift of life He has given us.

Application Procedures

All information contained in the application form needs to be filled out completely. Please submit it, along with a $25.00 NON-REFUNDABLE application fee, to the Preschool Director or front office during school hours beginning August 1, 2010.

There are 3 programs available in the preschool program:

the School Day Program – 7:30-3:00 pm
the Full Day Program – 7:30-4:00 pm
the Half Day Program – 8:00-11:30 am

Priority acceptance into the program is based on the following:

Family was enrolled in the preschool program during the prior year with the same child.
4 years of age by September 1st.
Application is submitted during the application period.
Family is active in St. Pius X Parish.
Siblings are currently attending St. Pius X School (elementary or preschool).
Family is practicing Catholicism (Baptism certificate required).
Positions in the program are available.

***All applicants are to be FULLY potty trained***

After the application period has ended, applicants will be prioritized based on the above information. All applicants accepted into the program will be notified by telephone in the spring. Once accepted, a preschool registration meeting will be held and you will be given a preschool packet.
A $180.00 registration fee will be required to hold your position.

Yearly tuition for the 2010-2011 School Year is as follows:

Full Day Program* – 7:30am-4:00pm
$4, 350.00 ($435.00 per month for 10 months)
School Day Program – 7:30am-3:00pm
$4, 050.00 ($405.00 per month for 10 months)
Half Day Program – 8:00am-11:30am
$3, 050.00 ($305.00 per month for 10 months)

Tuition is paid in 10 monthly installments (August thru May)
The Full Day program is subject to availability
